April 22, 2023
8:00 PM: Distance Worlds—Alien Life?
9:00–10:30 PM: Telescope Viewing

The Taylor Observatory-Norton Planetarium presents the planetarium show, “Distance Worlds—Alien Life?” This planetarium show focuses on the science of the conditions for life on Earth and how that can be used in the search for life in the solar system and on exoplanets. Afterwards, we will be having telescope viewing through our telescopes on site. The peak of the Lyrid meteor shower will also coincide with the event, with possible rates of 15-20 meteors per hour radiating from the Lyra constellation. Please be prepared for the weather, as it can get cold at night.
