Presented by Mr. Angelo Parisi
Sponsored by Friends of Taylor Observatory-Norton Planetarium,
Lake County Office of Education and Dark Sky Events
Celebrate Valentines Day at the Taylor Observatory with a special presentation of “LOVE STORIES IN THE NIGHT SKY” in the newly upgraded Norton Planetarium System. Experience the romantic tales of Artemis and Orion, Perseus and Andromeda, the Chinese myth of Vega and Altair.
Planetarium shows begin at 8:00pm and 9:00pm. After the show take a tour of the night sky and, under hopefully clear skies, enjoy stunning views through the observatory’s telescopes.
Location: Taylor Observatory, 5725 Oak Hills Lane, Kelseyville, CA 95451. Proceed to Taylor on gravel road at end of Oak Hills Lane
Admission: $5 adults, $2 children 14 years old and under. (additional donations to Friends of Taylor Observatory are encouraged!) (707) 262-4121
Note: Friends of Taylor and Lake County Office of Education have funded the $18,000 upgrade to the Norton Planetarium projector, now in full operation under the direction of Taylor’s new resident astronomer, Angelo Parisi. The talk will be given in the newly upgraded planetarium.
