Commercial Space Travel

Eduardo Alatorre Taylor Docent and FOTO Board Member
Taylor Observatory, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 8:00PM

Abstract: With the approaching end of the Space Shuttle program NASA’s role in space has shifted from low Earth orbit projects to the exploration of the solar system. This new shift opened doors to the fast-growing space-based economy. From Space X’s launch and cargo program to the development of space habitats and stations by Bigelow Aerospace this new sector will bring surprises in the next decade. Join us at Taylor Observatory to learn about the history and future of the commercialization of space.

Bio: Mr. Alatorre is Lake County’s solar system expert.  His participation in the KV High School Student program with Barbara McIntyre led to invitations from the Ukiah Latitude Observatory, the Sonoma County Astronomical Society, and other local venues.  Eduardo lectures frequently at Taylor Observatory-Norton Planetarium.
