NASA — FUTURE MISSIONS

Eduardo Alatorre, Taylor Observatory Docent

Abstract:  Window to the Universe presents Mr. Eduardo Alatorre describing “Future Missions,” a description of NASA’s upcoming programs of space exploration.  These missions include the spectacular Webb Telescope, scheduled for October 2018, and the Europa Clipper space probe, which will provide detailed examination of Jupiter’s most exciting moon, a place in the solar system which could possibly support life.  The new Webb telescope, with it’s infrared-sensitive mirror, will allow scientists to look 7-times farther back in time toward the origins of our universe compared to the Hubble.  The pictures and data should be beyond amazing.
