June 20, the Summer Solstice, is the longest day of the year. In Lake County the sun will rise at 5:48am and not set until 8:38pm almost 15 hours later. What do we know about the sun? Come to the Taylor Observatory to see a series of short films about the sun, what is known about the sun, and how we are learning more.
Gate opens at 5:30pm. Arrive early to safely view the sun through the Observatory’s solar telescopes
